WHAT ANIMALS WAIT OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR?
After witnessing the lived experience of non-human animals through the archives of animal rights activists, by studying the statistics behind the killing and the cruel conditions of their captivity, and viewing the trophy photos of hunters, the bull runs through streets, I started to watch YouTube videos of the type when circus animals break free and charge the trainer that baits them.
This revenge story (on behalf of non-human animals) was crafting whilst watching YouTube’s 10 MOST WORST ANIMAL ATTACKS (this is a mild version) has an apocalyptic feel. Rewilding in Chernobyl has taken place when the apex predator (man) left and wolves and boar have repopulated these areas. I wondered what the landscape would be like when man has become ghost.
Dogs feature heavily in this story because sometimes when I walk my own dog (a Jack Russell), I realise a lot of dog breeds can no longer breath properly or defend themselves.
