TRUST OUR JUDGEMENT PORTRAITS

shot on location at Vivos X Point, South Dakota, 4th July 2019

“I think if I was the last person, I would just have hope to find someone. I wouldn’t kill myself no, I wouldn’t”   MILTON TORRES

This film was shot on location at Vivos Survival Shelters in South Dakota

It creates a portrait of the first settlers as they contemplate their newly acquired bunkers as a response to climate change, biological attack, anarchy, and nuclear war and as they reflect upon 9/11, abortion, capital punishment, race and their place in the Rapture.

I aimed to create a historical document with this film, capturing a portrait of America at a time when the narratives of big industry override the truth of climate change, and the death penalty sits side by side with the Heartbeat Bill that denies abortion.
